Day 4, July 13, 2010: Alaska

  • The day started out in the rain but the work continued. By the conclusion of the day, painting was finished on the cabins and the playground was well underway. But just as important as the work that’s being done is the effect this time together is having on the lives of the team members. Throughout the day a number of team members including our youngest ones, have commented how good it’s been getting to know people in their church family who they either did not know at all before joining the team or who they had met but didn’t know very well. Together, this team is connecting, communication, contributing, cultivating and caring - FCF’s 5Cs. Our day ended with prayers for Milt who is not feeling well, a birthday surprise for Chris and a time of worship lead by Joe.

Team Thoughts for the Day: Serving God together brings joy! Happy Birthday to Milt, Chris and Pastor Randy!
